How Infundly Assesses Funds
Infundly’s research is designed to help professional users understand the quality, structure and governance of selected investment strategies.
We do not aim to cover every fund, index tracker or investment trust. Our work is selective, judgement-led and focused on identifying strategies where the investment case, decision-making discipline and behavioural evidence merit closer attention.
Independent research. Clear thinking. Disciplined judgement.

What our research is designed to do
Infundly research is built for professional audiences who want more than headline performance, marketing material or broad fund coverage.
Our work is intended to help users understand:
what a fund is trying to achieve;
why the investment approach may have an edge;
how consistently the process is implemented;
who is accountable for decisions;
how the strategy has behaved across different market conditions; and
what risks or limitations should be understood.
Our approach
Infundly takes a selective and judgement-led approach to fund research.
Rather than assessing every available strategy, we focus on funds, index trackers and investment trusts where there is a credible basis for deeper review. This may include evidence of a repeatable investment philosophy, disciplined implementation, strong governance, differentiated thinking or behaviour that appears relevant for professional portfolio construction.
Our work prioritises quality of analysis over quantity of coverage.
The four research pillars
Infundly assesses funds through four core research pillars.
Philosophy & Edge
We assess whether the fund has a clearly articulated investment belief, why that belief should work, and whether there is evidence of a durable or differentiated edge.
Process & Implementation
We assess how investment decisions are made, how consistently the process is applied, and how risk is considered in portfolio construction.
People & Governance
We assess the people behind the strategy, including team structure, accountability, incentives, oversight and decision-making culture.
Evidence & Behavioural Outcomes
We assess performance and risk behaviour in context, including how the strategy has behaved across different market environments.
No single data point determines an Infundly research outcome. Our assessment combines evidence, professional judgement and challenge across all four pillars.
Research outcomes
Where a fund meets Infundly’s research standards, it may receive an Infundly Research–Conviction Mark.
The Mark reflects Infundly’s view of the quality, coherence, governance and evidence base behind the investment approach at the time of review.
What a Research-Conviction Mark means
It means the fund has been assessed against Infundly’s research framework and, in our judgement, meets the required standard across the areas we consider most important: philosophy, process, people, governance, evidence and behavioural outcomes.
It is intended to support professional research, challenge and due diligence.
What it does not mean
It is not investment advice, a personal recommendation, a recommendation to buy or sell, or an assessment of suitability for any individual client or portfolio.
It is not a guarantee of future performance. Research–Conviction tiers reflect the depth and durability of supporting evidence, not a promise of future returns.

Important information
Infundly research is generic, non-personal and intended for professional audiences only.
It does not constitute investment advice, a personal recommendation, an offer, an invitation, or a solicitation to buy, sell or hold any investment.
Any reference to a fund, strategy or research designation should be considered as part of wider professional due diligence and not as a standalone basis for investment decision-making.
