CONSULTANCY
CIO-level clarity, minus the full-time price tag.
Infundly for professional portfolio builders and the minds behind the money.
In a world of automated models and leaner internal teams, the most undervalued advantage is principled, human insight. AI can scan the past, we help you spot opportunities before the market does, navigate uncertainty with confidence, and avoid the costly traps algorithms can’t see coming.

We deliver targeted market briefs, portfolio stress-testing, fund strategy evaluations, and decision frameworks you can apply immediately. Every insight is applied with intent, backed by experience, and shaped by the same integrity we’d want if our own capital were on the line.

Let’s talk about where your strategy is today, and where it could be tomorrow.

FUND SELECTION & RESEARCH
Even the most established investment committees can benefit from an independent perspective. A second opinion on fund selection provides additional rigour, broadens the range of options considered, and helps ensure decisions are fully tested before implementation.

In addition to fund selection support, we provide independent research on fund managers with a demonstrable edge, helping you identify true skill, not luck. Our insight is also designed to be shared, with concise market commentary and client-ready content that reinforces your communication and advice.

What we bring

Comprehensive coverage – of open-ended funds, investment trusts, and ETFs.

Panel construction – advising on, or building, curated fund panels aligned with your stated parameters.

Active and passive insight – weighing both objectively, free from product bias.

Governance strength – providing an impartial lens to support transparent and accountable decision-making.

Depth of experience

With over two decades of experience as a fund selector, fund-of-funds manager, and industry commentator, we bring a disciplined, research-led approach. Where active funds are recommended, they are drawn only from managers we have engaged with directly and where there is clear evidence of capability, process, and investment philosophy.

The result is a robust and defensible shortlist that strengthens governance, informs debate, and supports confident, long-term decisions.

DFM STATUS SUPPORT
Many financial advisers now choose to outsource some or all of their clients’ investments to external managers. Others are considering the shift from advisory to discretionary models. In both cases, independent support can add discipline, reduce risk, and provide reassurance that decisions stand up to scrutiny.

Outsourcing Selection Support

We help advisers make confident, evidence-based choices when selecting a discretionary fund manager (DFM) or multi-manager solution by:

-
Reviewing the full range of available options.
-
Guiding due diligence with the right questions.
-
Providing independent analysis of performance, costs, and service standards.
-
Ensuring alignment between chosen partners, your business model, and your clients’ needs.
Supporting Firms Transitioning to DFM

For firms moving from advisory to discretionary (such as launching a managed portfolio service), we provide structured guidance to:

-
Interpret and meet the FCA’s expectations around governance, process, and capital adequacy.
-
Strengthen internal committees with independent, experienced input.
-
Demonstrate to both regulators and clients that robust skills, processes, and governance are in place.
-
Act as an external investment committee member, bringing challenge, credibility, and capacity.
Whether you are outsourcing to a third-party manager or building in-house discretionary capability, we provide independent expertise and governance support. Our role is to ensure that investment processes meet professional and regulatory standards, giving you, your committee, and your clients confidence in the decisions being made.

ADDING INDEPENDENT EXPERTISE TO YOUR DECISIONS
Bringing in an independent voice to your investment committee helps strengthen decision-making. Our role is not to replace existing expertise, but to add perspective, ask the right questions, and highlight opportunities that may otherwise be overlooked.

How independent input helps

Challenge constructively – encouraging open debate and ensuring assumptions are tested.

Broaden perspective – considering alternative approaches or access routes you may not have explored.

Strengthen governance – acting in a non-executive capacity to balance discussion and reduce blind spots.

Support better outcomes – ensuring decisions are made with clarity, confidence, and transparency.
Our role in your committee

By sitting as an independent member, we act much like a non-executive partner:

-
Contributing impartial analysis.
-
Helping frame complex issues in plain language.
-
Creating space for diverse viewpoints before decisions are made.
The result is a more rounded investment conversation that empowers the whole group to move forward with greater confidence.
PROCESS
Here’s a quick overview of the next steps , what to expect, how we’ll shape the scope together, and where we can best support your needs.
DISCOVERY CALL/MEETING
The process begins with a no-obligation discovery call/meeting. This is an opportunity for us to understand your business, challenges, and objectives in detail. We’ll ask focused questions, listen closely, and clarify where you most need support. It’s also your chance to learn more about how we work and to ask any initial questions.

By the end of this, we’ll have a clear picture of your goals and whether our services are a good fit. You’ll leave the session with clarity on next steps, regardless of whether you decide to move forward with us.
REVIEW & PROPOSAL
Following the call/meeting, we review the information you’ve shared to ensure we understand the scope of your needs. We may carry out additional desk research if relevant, to help shape a practical and tailored response.

Based on this review, we prepare a proposal that sets out the recommended service(s), and the associated fees. This document is designed to give you a view of how we can support your proposition.
AGREEMENT & ONBOARDING
If you’re happy with the proposal, the final step is to confirm your agreement. This will include formalising terms, setting timelines, and outlining how we’ll work together day-to-day, etc.

Once agreed, we move quickly into onboarding, ensuring you have the right information has been shared and introductions have been made with the aim of delivering value without delay.
IN THEIR WORDS
FELICIA HJERTMAN, FORMER FOUNDER & CEO AT TILLIT
"Sheridan is one of the most brilliant people I have had the privilege of working with. Beyond his decades of experience, he brings a refreshingly thoughtful approach to fund selection, emphasising fundamental analysis of the philosophy, process and people behind a fund. His inquisitive nature, analytical mind and creative approach enables him to identify what makes some funds exceptional in a sea of mediocracy. In addition, Sheridan is hardworking, reliable, and a joy to work with. I would recommend him wholeheartedly."
PAUL FARROW, RATTLE PR
"I have had the pleasure of working with Sheridan as TILLIT's PR over the past few years, generating investment-related stories for the financial press. Journalists want copy from a respected and reliable source – someone they can count on. They want in-depth knowledge and detail from an expert who can convey “news readers can use” in a way that everyone can understand. As a chartered wealth manager whose financial career has taken him from research to managing funds to CIO, Sheridan ticks all the boxes. "
